Sustainable ranching has become one of the most talked
about initiatives among the Northern Great Plains ranchers and community.
They
have partnered with the WWF to help preserve the over 94 million acres of
grassland and its micro-habitats.
With keeping these habitats in good standing
they are able to sustain many amazing attributes of the land:
-Carbon-Rich Soil
-Less fertilizer run-off
-Cleaner Streams
Ranchers maintain the lands and attempt to keep the land as
natural and lush as possible; considering more federal laws and technology show
financial gain in turning the land into crops.
Along with WWF’s message ranchers are using more sustainable grazing
methods to keep predatory plants from taking over the lands and its resources.
